GCAS runs on volunteers

Volunteering with GCAS

Volunteers are the backbone of each non-profit organization. Without them there would be no success stories. There are many opportunities to volunteer and can require as little as an hour!

If you're interested in helping in any of the following or have special talents that you think we might be able to use, please fill out the form below or email us at volunteer@gcasallies.com - we'd love to hear from you!

  • Adoption and fundraising event support
  • Feet on the Ground - post/hand out flyers, spread word about events, look for sponsors
  • Transport to/from events and appointments
  • Doggie Day Out
  • Donation pick-up
  • Administrative support with GCAS
  • Support at Glynn County Animal Services
  • Bathing dogs
  • Playing with the dogs or cats
  • Walking dogs
  • Fostering dogs or cats
  • Running Buddies Program
  • Join our Facebook volunteer group to find out about more opportunities

Fostering

Fostering a dog helps us save that dogs life but also allows us the space and resources to save another. Fostering is available for short or long term periods and can help us learn more about a dog's personality, making them more adoptable!

Most of our dogs do not get out of their kennels during the day except for a short period where they may get to the play yard. Become a volunteer dog walker to provide them with some much needed exercise and interaction!

Volunteering to help with the animals is great, but installing fencing, filling pools in play yards, and emptying litter boxes are all appreciated as well. Our shelter is understaffed and any extra help they can get means more attention for the animals.

GCAS is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Contributions to GCAS are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Our tax identification number is 99-2824930.
