Sandy

Sandy is everything you want in a furry best friend—gentle, loyal, goofy, and so ready to love. This beautiful 2-year-old mixed-breed girl is spayed, heartworm positive, and has been patiently waiting at Glynn County Animal Services since November. She’s also one of the beloved “24 from ’24”—dogs who have spent far too long waiting for their forever families.

True to her name, Sandy is soft, warm, and wonderfully devoted. Once she meets you, she’ll happily stick by your side. She’s a volunteer favorite and absolutely shines during outings with our Running Buddies, where she shows off her calm demeanor and excellent leash manners. If you’re looking for a peaceful walking companion who still knows how to have fun, Sandy is your girl.

Running Buddies describe Sandy as a dream on leash—she walks right by your side, takes treats gently, and enjoys soaking in all the interesting sights and smells along the way. She’s friendly with people of all ages, welcoming pets from adults and kids alike, and her positive spirit is downright infectious.

Sandy prefers to have her humans all to herself and is dog selective, so a meet-and-greet is highly recommended. In the right home, she would thrive as your one-and-only “seashell.” Trust us—this stunning girl will bring more sunshine into your life than you ever imagined.

Sandy came to the shelter as a found dog in early November and has been waiting patiently ever since. She’s one of the final pups from our special “24 from ’24” group, and we’d love nothing more than to see that number drop to zero—with Sandy heading home.

Come scoop up Sandy and let her be the tide that washes happiness right into your heart.
